ABOUT US
Neighbors Helping Neighbors
Moving to a new community involves much more than finding a place to live. It means learning how schools work, finding employment, accessing transportation and healthcare, understanding laws and civic responsibilities, building relationships, learning a new language, and establishing a sense of belonging.
NGSC serves as a bridge.
We work alongside individuals and families as they navigate these transitions, connecting them with resources while helping them develop the knowledge, skills, relationships, and confidence needed to move forward.
Our work is built upon a simple principle:
"Strong individuals build strong families. Strong families build strong neighborhoods. Strong neighborhoods build strong communities."

Everyone deserves an opportunity to thrive
when starting anew in a different country. Transitioning can be overwhelming due to unfamiliar systems, language barriers, employment challenges, and cultural adjustments. NGSC is here to simplify that journey by connecting individuals with essential resources, knowledge, and community support, helping them build fulfilling lives in the Charlotte area.
Our services include:
-
Compassionate, practical, and spiritual support to economically disadvantaged individuals in urban areas.
-
Empowering families with the knowledge needed to contribute positively to society and their local communities.
-
Assisting newcomers in adapting to the local culture and lifestyle.
